Connecting with a colourful culture and visiting stunning places
Looking for a cultural immersion, surrounding yourself with the Swahili culture?
Spending some days with our family and team has already some benefits, for guests to learn something new and locals to celebrate and preserve their own traditions. A cooking lesson, a “making your own batik or soap” workshop, a long chat with Haji and Marina, the lodge’s owners, both so passionate to share their knowledge, will definitely help connect, then you can start to explore.
Our village of Chuini is located in a central area of Unguja, the perfect starting point for visiting the whole island and doing many activities and then returning to the lodge and enjoy its tranquility, beach and garden.
Thanks to his extensive knowledge of Zanzibar an wide experience in the tourism industry as a guide, Haji organise excursions, tours and transfers, some of them are bookable the day before or even the same day. When contacting us to reserve your room, don’t forget to tell us if you are interested in trips, we can help you tailor made your holiday.
For independent travelers, the lodge is a source of information and tips: organising your driving permit and car and motorbike rentals, giving instruction for tours by public transportation called daladala, suggesting “must see and do” and itineraries…
So, if reading a book at the beach or lolling on the hammocks is not for you today, pick a tour, excursion or an activity!
